Surprise needs a quality floor.
The selector is designed to surface complete, inspectable projects—not loose parts, dead links, or mystery files. These are screening standards, not a guarantee of print success.
Complete project
The listing must make sense as a standalone print rather than an unidentified component from a larger assembly.
Usable imagery
A creator-supplied project image appears first, followed by a separate mesh preview when available.
Traceable source
The creator, license, project page, and file page are preserved so visitors can review the original context.
Popularity floor
The current collection excludes entries with fewer than 20 recorded downloads. Popularity is a filter, not proof of quality.
What “mesh screened” means
The geometry has passed the collection's automated completeness checks and can be rendered as a recognizable preview. It does not mean the project has been sliced for every printer, checked for ideal orientation or supports, or physically test-printed.
Current coverage
The live collection contains 263 curated Thingiverse projects. Other sources are not presented as live until their metadata, imagery, links, and licensing can be normalized reliably.
Always review the creator's notes, license, dimensions, orientation, material guidance, supports, and safety considerations on the original project page.
